Why is stakeholder consultation important when amending laws affecting marginalized communities such as transgender persons?
NCTP members opposed amendments to the Transgender Act, citing lack of consultation. I wish to understand the significance of involving affected communities in the legislative process, especially for laws impacting their rights.
