  • Increased emphasis on staff training and development. This includes training on operating procedures, safety protocols, and threat awareness.
  • Installation of advanced signaling and communication systems to prevent collisions and provide real-time information to the staff. This includes the use of Automatic Train Protection Systems (ATPS) and Train Collision Avoidance Systems (TCAS).
  • Implementation of a Safety Management System (SMS) to identify and mitigate potential risks and hazards.
  • Introducing advanced coaching and freight stock that meet international safety standards. The Railways are also focusing on the indigenization of rail coaches, engines, and safety equipment.
