Which states have crossed the 50% mark in MGNREGS audit

MGNREGS audit has been conducted in more than 50% of local bodies in just six states.
As of now, the MGNREGS audit has been conducted in more than 50% of local bodies in six states in India. These states are:
  • Andhra Pradesh
  • Chhattisgarh
  • Karnataka
  • Kerala
  • Maharashtra
  • Telangana
These states have achieved significant progress in conducting audits for the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) in their respective local bodies. The MGNREGS is a social welfare scheme aimed at providing livelihood security in rural areas by guaranteeing 100 days of employment to households. By conducting audits, these states ensure transparency and accountability in the implementation of the scheme. It is encouraging to see these states taking positive steps towards ensuring the effective utilization of funds and resources allocated for MGNREGS.
