• Launch of National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) in 2005, which aims to provide accessible, affordable, and quality healthcare services to the rural population.
• Implementation of Janani Suraksha Yojana (JSY) which is a maternity benefit scheme, to reduce maternal and infant mortality rates.
• Introduction of free ambulance services for emergency medical care in rural areas.
• Launch of Ayushman Bharat, a healthcare scheme which aims to provide financial protection and reduce out of pocket expenses for healthcare services.

These measures have significantly improved the accessibility and affordability of healthcare services in rural areas of India. However, more needs to be done to provide quality healthcare services to rural communities.
