Gujarat has taken several measures to prepare for the impact of Cyclone Biparjoy. The state government has set up control rooms to monitor the situation, and has also alerted fishermen not to venture into the sea.

• The state government has evacuated people from low-lying areas and set up relief camps in safe areas.
• Teams of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) have been deployed in the areas expected to be affected by the cyclone.
• The state government has also instructed district authorities to take necessary steps to avoid disruption of essential services during the cyclone.
• A review meeting was conducted by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi with the Chief Ministers of Gujarat, Maharashtra and Daman and Diu to take stock of the situation and the steps taken by the state governments to prepare for the cyclone.

In addition to these measures, the state government has also urged people to stay indoors and avoid travel during the cyclone in order to ensure their safety.
