1. The National Exit Test for Ayush (NEXT for Ayush) is an upcoming standardized exam for all graduates of Ayush (Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy) courses. 2. NEXT for Ayush will serve as a common final year undergraduate exam for students pursuing these alternative medicine disciplines. 3. The exam aims to ensure a consistent standard of knowledge and competency amongst Ayush graduates across the country. 4. It will also determine the eligibility for licensure and practice, similar to the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for allopathic medical graduates. 5. The Ministry of Ayush has proposed NEXT for Ayush to enhance the quality of professionals and boost the credibility of Ayush systems of medicine.
