BIMSTEC (Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation) is a regional organization comprising of South Asian and Southeast Asian countries. The next summit is expected to focus on several areas, including:

• Boosting trade and economic collaboration among member states.
• Strengthening maritime security and intelligence sharing to counteract increasing transnational threats and security challenges.
• Improving connectivity and developing a regional communication system to increase transportation and tourism within member states.
• Promoting technological cooperation, enhancing regional disaster management and environmental sustainability.
• Facilitating regional cooperation, particularly in the areas of agriculture, fisheries, public health, poverty alleviation, and counter-terrorism.

Through the upcoming summit, BIMSTEC aims to foster closer cooperation among its member states, create better opportunities, and promote sustainable economic growth.
