What are the steps taken by the Opposition to address concerns regarding Muslim-majority constituencies in Assam

Assam will have fewer Muslim-majority constituencies, say Opposition leaders
1. Constitution of an alliance called Mithinga Democratic Alliance (MDA) in the year 2020 2. The alliance involves the All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF), the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), and the CPI(M) 3. The alliance has been formed specifically to address concerns relating to the Muslim minority community in Assam and the reduction in the number of Muslim-majority constituencies prior to the assembly elections in 2021 4. The alliance has been working to perform door-to-door outreach and various campaigns to raise awareness about the importance of the Muslim vote and to encourage community mobilization 5. Opposition parties have also been working to set up community forums for discussions over issues related to the community, and to ensure fair and adequate representation of Muslims in the political sphere.
