  • The Adjudicating Authority in the case confirmed the assets worth over Rs 18.89 crore of a former IAS officer and two other officials in connection with alleged illegal coal block allocation case.
  • The case pertains to alleged irregularities in allocation of the Bhatgaon-II coal block in Chhattisgarh to SKS Ispat and Power Ltd. It was alleged that the firm misrepresented its net worth and while getting the coal block.
  • The Adjudicating Authority has confirmed the confiscation of the properties of Navin Kumar Choudhary, the former Principal Secretary of Industries in the Jammu and Kashmir government, and two other officials - K S Kropha and K C Samria.
  • The properties include fixed deposits, bank accounts, and equity shares. The value of the assets confirmed by the Adjudicating Authority is over Rs 18.89 crore.
