In order to address these issues, the Indian government has introduced several reforms such as:

• Ayushman Bharat scheme, which aims to provide health insurance coverage of up to Rs.5 lakhs per family per year to over 10 crore poor and vulnerable families in India.
• Establishing new medical colleges and upgrading existing ones to increase the number of medical professionals.
• National Health Policy 2017, which aims to provide universal health coverage and provision of quality healthcare services to all citizens.
• Telemedicine and E-health initiatives to enable remote access to medical facilities and services.
• The government has also increased funding for healthcare services and launched initiatives such as Swachh Bharat Abhiyan to improve sanitation and reduce the incidence of diseases.

These initiatives are expected to improve the accessibility and affordability of healthcare services in India, particularly for the disadvantaged and marginalized sections of the society.
