India shares approximately 15,106 km of international borders with seven neighboring countries: Pakistan, China, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Myanmar, and Afghanistan. While safeguarding these borders, India faces a variety of challenges.

• Terrorist activities: The borders of India are prone to terrorist infiltration, which pose an extreme challenge to the security of the nation.
• Human resource: Despite having one of the largest military forces in the world, the sheer size of the borders and inadequate manpower often create a challenge to maintain 24x7 surveillance.

To counter such difficulties, India has taken numerous measures such as the construction of fence walls, installing surveillance equipment, and deploying security forces to secure border areas. The government is continuously striving to strengthen the country's border infrastructure to ensure safety and security along the border.
