The healthcare challenges faced by rural India are numerous and varied. The lack of healthcare facilities is one of the biggest challenges that rural India faces. Some of the major challenges faced by rural India include:

• Shortage of doctors and other healthcare professionals, as most of them prefer to work in urban areas over rural areas
