How can India achieve thermal independence while ensuring affordable and sustainable cooking solutions for all?

The recent LPG crisis and rising crude oil prices have highlighted India's dependence on imported fuels. At the same time, there is a push to electrify cooking and heating, but adoption among low-income households is slow.
