Why is it difficult for India to completely eliminate defence imports despite the Make in India initiative?
The Defence Secretary has stated that imports can never be fully eliminated in the defence sector. I want to understand the structural and practical challenges that prevent India from becoming completely self-reliant in defence manufacturing.
