How do frequent disruptions in Parliament affect the functioning of India's democracy?
'In my view, frequent disruption in Parliament are harming the democratic spirit of the country'. I feel that instead of debate and discussion, shouting and walkouts have taken over, which is very disappointing for any democracy
As a student,I believe Parliament should be a model for respectful discussion, but that is rarely seen now.
Cause and Effect
When sessions are disrupted,it not only wastes time but also forces the government to bring ordinances, which is not healthy for a democracy
They obstruct meaningful debate and accountability, ministers are unable to answer queries and opposition parties lose their chance to raise concern.
In the end,I feel that all parties should agree on some ground rules so that Parliament works the way it is meant to .
